Federal law bars certain people from possessing or receiving a firearm (18 U.S.C. 922(g) and (n)), and handling one in a session is possession. By checking the box below, you confirm that none of the following apply to you:

• Convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year in prison
• Under indictment for such a crime (you may not receive a firearm, 18 U.S.C. 922(n))
• Convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, or subject to a qualifying restraining order
• Fugitive from justice
• Unlawful user of, or addicted to, a controlled substance (cannabis is still a federally controlled substance even where state-legal; the Supreme Court's June 2026 decision in United States v. Hemani was narrow and the law here is unsettled, so talk to an attorney if this applies to you)
• Adjudicated as mentally defective or committed to a mental institution
• In the US illegally, or admitted on most non-immigrant visas (limited exceptions apply)
• Dishonorably discharged from the US Armed Forces
• Renounced US citizenship
