Terms of Service
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Who I am
Firearm Safety Team LLC ("FST," "I," "me") provides firearm safety education and familiarization training in Portland, Oregon. These terms cover your use of this website, booking training, purchasing gift cards or merchandise, and participating in FST community features.
Training and eligibility
Training is available to adults 18 and older who can lawfully possess a firearm. When you book, you attest under penalty of perjury that none of the federal or Oregon prohibited-person categories apply to you - the eligibility guide explains them in plain English. I may decline or end a session if continuing it would be unsafe or unlawful.
Safety rules apply at every session. Course-completion certificates document the training you finished; licensing decisions (such as an Oregon CHL) always rest with the issuing authority.
Scheduling, cancellations, and refunds
Life happens. If you need to reschedule or cancel, contact me as early as you can and we will work something out - prepaid sessions keep their value and can be rescheduled. If I have to cancel (weather, range availability, illness), you choose between a full refund and a rescheduled session.
Payments
Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Stripe, Square, PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App) under their own terms. FST never stores your full card number or payment credentials.
Gift cards
FST gift cards never expire. They are redeemable for FST training and merchandise, are not redeemable for cash except where the law requires it, and cannot be replaced if the code is shared and redeemed by someone else - treat the code like cash.
Community accounts
FST accounts and community spaces (forum, bulletin board, reviews) are for people 18 and older. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your sign-in method secure, and follow the community guidelines. I may remove content or suspend accounts that violate them.
Educational content, not legal advice
Everything on this site - including the state-law guides - is educational material, not legal advice. Firearm laws change frequently and vary by jurisdiction. Verify anything that matters with official sources or a licensed attorney before acting on it.
Using this website
Site content belongs to FST and is for your personal, non-commercial use. Don't scrape the site, probe or disrupt its infrastructure, or misuse forms and APIs.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The website is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by Oregon law, FST's total liability arising from your use of the website or services is limited to the amount you paid FST for the service at issue. In-person training is additionally governed by the liability waiver you sign before we begin.
Changes and contact
I may update these terms; the date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be noted on this page. These terms are governed by Oregon law. Questions? Email Anth@FirearmSafetyTeam.com.
