Analytics
We use Plausible and GoatCounter for anonymous pageview counting. Neither service sets cookies or tracks you across other sites. They collect only aggregated, non-personal data (page URL, referrer, browser family, country). Both services are gated behind the cookie-consent banner.
What we collect and why

We do not collect government ID, social security number, race/ethnicity, or religion. Demographic fields (veteran, disabled, LGBTQIA+) on your profile are entirely optional and self-reported.
Third-party services (subprocessors)
- Stripe / Square / PayPal - payment processing. We store only their reconciliation IDs server-side; we never see or store raw card numbers.
- Twilio - SMS class reminders.
- Sentry - server-side error monitoring. PII is scrubbed before transmission.
- Plausible & GoatCounter - cookie-free analytics described above.
- Render (hosting) and Neon (database) - bound by their own security policies.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
- Export your data - sign in and visit /account to download a JSON copy of everything we hold on your account.
- Delete your data - the same account page lets you request anonymization of all personal fields. Payment-history rows are retained in obfuscated form for 7 years per tax law.
- Correct your data - edit your profile at /account. For data you cannot edit directly, email Anth@FirearmSafetyTeam.com.
- Opt out of marketing - every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
